Recently, President Muhammadu Buhari hosted members of Kannywood who paid him a courtesy visit in Aso Rock.
Not long after, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo visited the New Afrika Shrine during Felabration and paid glowing tribute to the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Osinbajo had earlier hosted Nollywood practitioners in Lagos.
Now, with this body language from Aso Rock, it seems the road is clear for the Nollywood invasion of Abuja, for a piece of the national cake.

Recall what happened before the 2015 elections when Nollywood practitioners and musicians were enlisted by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
A source who spoke on grounds of anonymity said: “All this is about 2019 elections. We can only hope that these people don’t sell the future of Nollywood for a plate of porridge. They must not be overtaken by greed or stomach infrastructure, but rather use this opportunity to advance the interests of the industry, which has given them a platform to be who they are today.”
