A youth body in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State known as Egalu Umunano has thrown their weight  behind the re-election bid of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the member representing Igboeze North/Udenu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Denis Agbo.

The youths said that the duo have done wonderfully well and so deserve another term in office, respectively.

The youth group made up of youth drawn from the 10 wards that make up Umunano bloc in Igboeze North, made the endorsement at their monthly general meeting at Umuogbo Ekposhi through a Statement signed by Hon. Samuel Enyanuma, Hon. John Amedu and Mr. Fidelis Eke as Chairman, Secretary and Public Relations Officer, respectively.

They claimed that Governor Ugwuanyi has performed beyond expectations in all facet of governance with quality service delivery on road infrastructure all over state, upgrading education and health sectors, ensuring adequate security, peace and most interesting paying workers and pensioners before the arrival of the federal monthly allocation among other things.

The statement reads, “Egalu Umunano are at home with Gburuguru and like every other good people of Enugu State who have asked him to carry go by endorsing him for second term, we are joining the bandwagons by asking the people’s governor of Enugu State to carry go for second tenure because there is no vacancy in Lion Building.”

On the other hand the Umunano group also said that there is no vacancy for the seat of Igboeze North/Udenu at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja as according to them, the incumbent member representing the constituency Hon. Agbo has done well enough to deserve a second missionary journey to Abuja.

They added, “Agbo has done us proud with delivery of dividends of democracy that speaks volume of him so he has to remain there and that is why we have gathered here to endorse him, first we are endorsing him because he has done well.

“Second we believe that our party the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is aware of his yeoman performance and in the culture of party a good performer has to be rewarded with a second term in office.

“In fact all PDP representatives are always given the opportunity to serve two terms and Agbo’s case should not be different.

“Thirdly we believe that sending him back to Abuja is for the interest of the constituency because he is going back with more experience and as a two term member of the House he stands the chances of attracting dividends of democracy as top ranking member,” they noted.
