I am not writing on the outcome of the presidential election which took place last Saturday, February 23, the 47th anniversary of the transition of my darling dad, who was born in Akure on Monday, December 5, 1904 and went to glory at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan that day in 1972, a Wednesday, at the age of 67 years, two months and 18 days, because the final result had not been announced at the time I submitted this piece on Monday afternoon for publication today. It is necessary to state this because readers would wonder why instead of writing on the winner of the poll it is an unknown and inconsequential person that I chose to feature. I will surely write on the victorious candidate next week.

I am taking on Nurudeen Dasali of Ilorin, who said this is how his people call and write the name Kasali, on his reaction to my column of two weeks ago, that of Wednesday, February 13 captioned: 2019 poll victory: The Determining Factors. Of the 23 people who got in touch with me only Dasali, who used GSM number 081 – 4090 – 6241 and the person who sent a text message through 070 – 6492 – 0521, disagreed with me. Both of them were abusive, but Dasali was more vitriolic, crude and irresponsible.

Dasali who said he is a die – hard supporter of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was angry with me on the last two paragraphs of my article. These were where I stated that if Atiku did not carry out the two messages of God I sent to him two weeks ago through one of his three wives that two things could happen.

One is that he could lose the election. The other is that Almighty God could make him win the poll because of the 61 – day fasting and prayer exercise carried out by the 61 Muslim clerics He raised for him in Ado – Ekiti. But that the Lord could take him away before May 29, and in which case it is his running – mate, Mr. Peter Obi, who would be sworn – in as president that day.

Dasali said I made the statement because I am a Christian fanatic and a southerner who wanted a member of my religion and someone from the south to become president. He called me a bastard and began raining curses on me. In the circumstance, I had to switch off my phone.

A few minutes later he resorted to sending me abusive and disparaging text messages. He began with this: “Mr. latter – day prophet of doom, whose tool of extortion is the dubious use of God’s name, please repent and stop your evil wish which has been your hallmark. May God 4give u. U can’t fool Atiku with your extortion gimmicks, please come out straight and humbly thru me, ask 4 his financial assistance to bail u out of your many problems including mental.

“Why has God not messaged u on how to go about solving your financial predicaments honourably instead of d newspaper page of FINE BARA (sic) u are always engaging in. I am happy you said I am not d only one dat condemned your rubbish, OLE (thief), ONIJIBITI AGBAYE Plc unlimited papa (world – class fraudster unlimited papa).”

For sure, the person who wrote this type of abusive stuff calling me a thief and global fraudster when I did not attack him or Atiku is someone from a bad family and who consequently was not properly brought up by his parents and is therefore a mannerless idiot. Of course, he is also a disgrace to the schools he attended and the mosque where he worships. This is because these leaders at these places failed to make him a good and reasonable person.

Dasali is also a senseless born – liar in his claim that I told him that other people condemned me before he phoned me on Saturday, February 16. Is it possible that people would reproach me and I would have told him about it? With this, is he not the one who needs to see a psychiatrist to examine his mental situation? As the lie he told is an indication that insanity may have set in for him.

When he informed me he called because of the last two paragraphs in my piece I told him he was the fifth or so to do so and asked what he had to say? And that I was interested in knowing if it was what the others had said or something different.

Here now are the names and telephone numbers of those who called me on the last two paragraphs before him. This is to provide the opportunity for anyone interested to reach out to them on what they said. Rather than abuse me, they called to express concern that Atiku’s wife may not deliver God’s message to him and that if she did, he might not do what the Most High required of him. Some of them even said they would go into prayers for him to do the Lord’s will.

The first person that called was Mr. Jonathan of Lokoja, Kogi State (070 – 5772 – 339). He was followed by Mr. Emenike of Aba, Abia State (080 – 6667 – 3683). The others were Mr. Emma of Keffi, Nassarawa State (070 – 3033 – 4141), Mr. Chibike of Kano – (080 – 6800 – 9886), Mr. Igbokwe (080 – 3665 – 5345) and Mr. Remy Ibekwe 081 – 3041 – 2221.

Anonymous messages on this came from the owners or users of these numbers 090 – 3919 – 5661 and 080 – 6654 – 6306. The only person who raised eyebrow was Mr. Emesi, an Igbira man, who phoned from Okene in Kogi State (070 – 5128 – 3112), and said that my writing that Peter Obi may become president if Atiku does not do God’s will could make some people not to vote for him.

Dasali had this to say in his second text message in which all the words were in capital letters: “YOU ARE TOO PETTY AND I DON’T KNOW HOW U CREPT INTO ONE OF THE FOREMOST NEWSPAPERS IN NIGERIA (THE SUN) AS A COLUMNIST. U ARE TOO POOR AND CLUMSY IN IDEA AND REASONING.

Here is his third and final message: “You said God didn’t send you to Buhari, but to late ABIOLA and ATIKU. One can understand, because both of them were/are rich and generous and can fall prey to your extortion gimmicks unlike BUHARI who is MISERLY and cannot dish out a KOBO. Get lost my friend. You think d God dat I and other Muslims and Christians worship is like your OBATALA, SANGO, OYA, OSUN and IFA dat Islam and Christianity have not succeeded in liberating u from? RUBBISH! Expect my rejoinder in d Sun Newspaper soon.

NEXT WEEK: My comments including why I decided to publish the foolish man’s diatribe.
