Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, on Wednesday, insisted that a vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in next year’s election, Atiku Abubakar is a vote for the unity of the country.

Otuaro who expressed optimism that the PDP and its candidate will win the 2019 presidential election, maintained that an Atiku presidency “holds prospect for a united and virile Nigeria.”

The deputy governor said he was not surprised that Atiku emerged winner of the just concluded PDP “presidential primaries given his undiluted support and clearly articulated roadmap to restructuring Nigeria in keeping with the aspirations of majority of progressive Nigerians.

“Restructuring Nigeria with appropriate devolution of powers will have laid the foundation for enterprise to find full expression among the component units of the federation towards a virile economy for rapid development.

“Restructuring is likely to eliminate barriers and emplace unity Nigeria needs to attain glorious heights. I need to perhaps emphasise that you can only give what you have or truly believe in.

“Atiku’s endeavours/investments already exemplify enterprising disposition which Nigeria needs for fast-paced development.”

Otuaro who congratulated the former Vice President on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the nation’s main opposition party, implored those who contested the ticket with him to wholeheartedly work for the PDP to ensure that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is sacked in 2019.
