Anglican Bishop of Lagos, Rt. Rev. Humphery Olumakaiye, has said the 2019 general election will bring the nation back to God if elections were conducted with the fear of God.
Olumakaiye said this yesterday when the crème de la crème from South South, Chartered Institute of Taxation and Accounts of Nigeria, and the entire community of Lagos Anglican community paid tributes to the late Senator David Dafinone in Lagos State.
The burial of the late Bendel senator is scheduled to hold on Friday, at Bethel Baptist Church, Sapele.
Olumakaiye described Dafinone as an honest man, who was after the welfare of the community, especially the less privileged, and added that most politicians can leave footprints if they follow his footsteps.
On the 2019 election, the Anglican bishop said it would bring “us back to God if we walk in the part of righteousness and respect the dignity in labour.
“We should go back to God in everything we do ,and we should serve God. By the time we have the fear of God in our hearts, the country will be better for it and If we have the fear of God, the process will be free and fair.”
