From Desmond Mgboh/Kano

Another mysterious fire, at the weekend, went off in Kano State, razing down four structures and destroying property estimated in millions of Naira.

The fire broke out at noon at the Dan Ladi Nassidi Housing Estate in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

The affected privately owned houses belonged to a senior staff of the National Orientation Agency, (NOA) and a staff of the Kano Electricity Distribution, KEDCO. among others.

A staff of the state fire service who was part of the rescue team, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, confirmed that there was no casualty in the inferno but admitted that property worth millions were lost to the tragedy.

Ahaji Kabir Ibrahim, a victim of the fire incident, described the outbreak as mysterious, adding that they were yet to find the links to the possible cause of the fire.

“There was no NEPA, no generator and no gas cylinder or cooker in the house to cause the rapid spread of the fire” he said adding that ,“I lost most of my documents and that of my wife alongside other household items of immeasurable cost”

In the recent times, Kano State has recorded several tragic fire outbreaks at different posts in the state, notable among them were the outbreaks at popular markets, secondary schools and residential area in the state, including the recent one at the Singa Market.
