Former Senate Minority leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe has warned Abians against allowing Godfatherism in the state in 2023.
Abaribe gave the warning Thursday in Umuahia during the official opening of the campaign office of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate in the state, Prof Greg Ibe.
He said next year’s election will be keenly contested and results formerly announced, adding that those hoping to rig the election has failed.
“Next year’s election will be contested and results announced. Those hoping that it will be rigged have failed because we will occupy Abia Government House next year”.
Abaribe described Prof Ibe as a self made man who has offered himself for service to the people.
Before declaring open the campaign office, Prof Ibe promise that APGA will take over the State in 2023.
Prof Ibe, who described APGA as the right direction for Abians, assured that Abia would experience uncommon transformation from next year if he takes over as the State’s chief executive.
He appreciated the members of his party for keeping the APGA flag of progressive flying even while he was away on foreign trip.
The guber candidate said Abians have been provided with the best alternative in APGA, adding that he and his party are set to deliver Abians from the years of underdevelopment.
“The commissioning of my campaign offices in Aba and Umuahia will mark the beginning of the change of the narrative.”
Ibe further assured that Abia State would occupy a front seat in development among other States.
Prof Ibe announced with joy that medical students now flock Gregory University Uturu after the withdrawal of Abia State University school of medicine accreditation by the NUC.
