After suffering a defeat in the opening group game, Nigeria’s D’Tigers bounced back strongly in the final group match against the Crested of Uganda.

D’Tigers under stand-in coach Alan Major suffered a narrow 70-79 defeat to Cape Verde in the opening match.

However, they had a sigh of relief after getting a 20 point walkover game against Mali.

Their final match against Uganda was tough but the Nigerian team lived up to expectations and secured a 91-72 win.

D’Tigers was dominant throughout the entire duration of the game, winning the first and second quarters 20-13, 29-18.

The game was tied at 24-24 in the third quarter before the Nigerian team triumphed in the final 18-17.
