The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives for Dawakin Tofa/ Rimingado federal constituency in Kano State, Abba Ganduje has said that if elected, he will have more opportunity to empower his people, especially women and youths as well as physically challenged persons in the constituency.
Ganduje said he had over the years empowered people in the area of health, education, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through a Non Governmental Organisation known as Abdulahi Umar Ganduje Foundation.
In this interview, he emphasised that if elected he would build on the Foundation to offer quality services to his people as he has been doing for them over the years.
“Honestly what actually motivates my ambition of going to House of representatives to represent my people is to offer a selfless service to my constituency. And you know we have so many youths who are unemployed, so I will assist youths in my constituency to be self employed and also help the old and Disabled people in my federal constituency so as to reduce the level of unemployment among the youths and suffering among the old and Disabled people.
“You see the All Progressive Congress as the ruling party in Kano state has done so many things that has touched the lives of people in the state since it came into power seven years under the able leadership of His excellency Alhaji, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje.And also the APC government in Kano state have engaged so many youths, women into productive ventures that will help and boost the party chances at poll very positively by the grace of Almighty Allah.
“In fact I have done a lot of things in the area of health, education, ICT and has empowered so many people of about 170 people through the Abdulahi Umar Ganduje foundation.And I have empowered so many youths in different areas of business with some token of money to start their own business and meaningful life to the betterment of our society and the country.
“And my foundation also has helped students to gain admission category of education through scholarship.
I engaged myself in different types of humanitarian works to help the society at large”. Ganduje said.
Rating the performance of the State governor, Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, the House of Representatives hopeful said, “the governor has done very well since his administration came to power seven years ago. He has changed the face of farming, education, health and security in Kano state. The State has been one of the best States in the country in spite of the big challenges facing the country.
“So the government has done well and the records are there for all to see. And you know he is a heavy supporter of Tinubu and Shettima presidency for 2023 general election .So my message to Nigerians is for everybody to go out and obtain his Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and make sure that they vote for the APC in all the elections from Tinubu and Shettima to all levels”.
