The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress APC in Abuja was agog today as the Women wing led by the National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu played host to the Iyaloja Of Abuja, Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus and market Women across the FCT.

Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus led other Iyalojas and Iyalodes in Abuja on a solidarity visit to the National Secretariat of the APC.
The visit according to Mrs Toyin Badmus was to show solidarity with the women and shore up support for the Presidential candidate of the APC in the 2023 election.

Mrs Badmus expressed satisfaction with the massive mobilisation of Women across the Country being coordinated by the office of the National Women Leader as she promised the maximum support of market women across the nooks and crannies of the Country for the success of the APC in the coming Presidential election.

She appealed that the vision of Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society is that women needs to have access to interest free funds because majority of the women are voters which should be considered.

In her response, the National Women Leader of the Party, Dr. Betta Edu welcomed the visitors to the National Secretariat of the ruling party describing Mrs Badmus as a woman of courage whose passion for the welfare and development of market women in Abuja is unequalled. She further described her as a leader with unusual qualities, profound impacts and enviable records of achievements.

Dr Betta Edu enjoined market Women across the country to see the Presidential candidate of the APC as a Man who will guarantee the inclusion of women in government and promote their overall progress and development. His record of democratisation of access to women puting them in strategic positions in the scheme of things is worthy of note.

She added that the courtsey visit was the beginning of shade by shade, door to door drive for mobilization and empowerment for APC women as a build up to 2023 and beyond. She said women are expected to deliver 40 million votes for the party in the presidential election and our strategic push will achieve this.

“They would be provision of easy loans which will make life easy for our market women and every women should hold their PVC tight and strong, we’re blessed with a Presidential candidate who knows the importance of women inclusion in politics and placing women in strategic positions. This visit today is very timely and important as we’ll continue to mobilize women across Nigeria to support and vote for our party.” Dr. Edu added.

The Deputy National Women Leader, Hajiya Zainab addressed that Tinubu who was raised by Iyaloja of Lagos will get the vote of all market women. She added that Tinubu who is a gender sensitive leader made a woman his deputy when he was Governor of Lagos State, therefore we must shine and project the light of APC 2023 general election.

National President of PYWF, Osamaye Seun Bosede expressed her joy and appreciated the leadership of National Women Wing together with the Deputy National Woman Leader. She also encouraged market women in the market places and at the grassroot to vote for APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

In attendance during the visit was Hon. Bilkisu Abubakar, National Secretary, APC-PYWFl, Hajia Farida Yerima, Hajia Rekia Bagnou, Madam Saroinia Erondu, Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society and other women leaders of the APC.
