From Okey Sampson, Umuahia

The National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Oye, has expressed optimism that the party will win the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.

Oye expressed the optimism in Umuahia, Abia State, while inaugurating the campaign council of APGA at the Greg Ibe Campaign headquarters in Umuahia.

Oye assured that the days of bad leadership were over in the state as the party had come to take over the state.

On the court’s nullification of Ibe’s candidature at the primaries, Oye said: “The High Court ruling will not stand the scrutiny of the Appeal Court. The ruling will be thrown into the dustbin by the Appeal Court. The primary elections that produced the candidate was credible and transparent free and fair.

“I assure you that Prof Greg Ibe will be the next governor. I only urge Prof Ibe, all our candidates and party members to remain prepared and vigilant.”

He however cautioned the members of the campaign council and other party members against any form of sabotage against APGA.
