From Laide Raheem, Abeokuta

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar yesterday paid a visit to his former boss, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Atiku who arrived at the Pent House residence of Obasanjo inside the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Abeokuta, around 10:00a.m, went straight into a closed door meeting with the former president.

Fielding questions from newsmen after almost an hour meeting with Obasanjo, Atiku declared that he was more than capable to become the country’s president come 2023, boasting of having the capacity to fix the country

On the calls by some Nigerians that younger persons should be given a chance to emerge as the next president, the former vice president said that the youths are eligible to aspire, challenging them to contest with him.

Asked if he was confident of getting the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku stated that he had won the ticket before, noting that he was not afraid to throw his hat into the ring again.

The 2019 presidential candidate of the PDP also visited the palace of the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.

Addressing the monarch and the chiefs, Atiku, who was silent on his intention to vie for presidency, disclosed that he would declare his presidential aspiration at the right time.

He noted that  he was in the palace to check on the traditional ruler.

He recalled that he started his career in the Nigeria Customs Service in Ogun State and also met his first wife in the state.

He added that Ogun has been like a home to him, declaring that he would continue to identify with the state, especially Abeokuta.

In his response, Oba Gbadebo said that though Atiku had informed him privately of his presidential ambition, he would want him to publicly declare his intention before the chiefs and the people.

The fundamental patriotic questions to ask all Those former elected office holders as Executive and Legislature, as Former Governors, Incumbent Governors, Senators and Serving Senators including Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are:
Must they become Nigerian President before they can contributes to Nation Building?
Must they become Nigerian President before they can Fix The country socioeconomic, political and security challenges?
Must every Nigerians become Politicians before they can contributes to Nation building?
If DANGOTE, BUA, ADENUGA & INNOSON etc are making Nigeria proud without holding any elected offices nor appointment office while their areas of business and investment created teeming meaningful employment opportunities for Nigerians as well add values to Nigeria economy prosperity and development moreover these Patriotic Nigerians in their respected entrepreneur capacities fixed uncountable socioeconomic problems of Nigeria as highest employers of labour than many States in Nigeria, The outputs of their investment significantly contributed to Nigeria GDP.
DANGOTE alone has workforces of Five or Six States civil servants without the crisis of Ghosts Workers while some States Governors are there unable to end the problem of Ghosts workers in their respected state in this technological era?
These barbaric political mentalities and its unpatriotic notion of becoming Nigerian President before proffered solutions to the country problems are only a political culture of Laziness, Joblessness and Visionless faculties of reasoning which had debilitated and destroyed Nigerian economy over 22years ago.
Alh. Atiku Abubakar should have it clearly in His mind that No Nigerian Youths can contest with Him come 2023 because Morally and Legally speaking No Youths can afford to buy Presidential form of any political party.
How could an unemployed youths or a Youths that only spent Ten or Fifteen years in services afford to by presidential form?
If any Youths buy Presidential form that person should be investigated by ICPC & EFCC because the Nigeria political system and its barbaric culture made it cleared that only questionable financial people can afford to either involved in politics or contest for an elected offices because its plutocratic ideology had put barriers between the Rich and the Poor which mean politics is for only rich people so calling unemployed and hopeless Youths to join politics in this ugly situations of the country is disastrous to the future of the country in a situation where the elders are unable to fixed the country problems in order to reduced the leadership burden of the younger generation.
