Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a Group has admonished Nigerian youths to shun ethnic , religious and sectarian sentiments and vote for credible people with integrity that will change the present ugly situation of the nation.

The US based Nigerian-American Coalition for Justice and Democracy (NACJD ) Organization stressed that no generation have got it worse than the current generation of Nigerian youths – as the socio- economic and security situation in the country is worsening every day.

Condemning the high spate of insecurity in the country, the Group in a press statement signed by Prof. Eddie Oparaoji and Chijike Ndukwu President and Secretary respectively and made available to newsmen in Owerri ,Imo state capital stated that the two recent incident showcases a country where no one is safe.

According to the group “We call on all Nigerians especially the youths to resist any attempt by mischievous politicians to deploy ethnic ,religious and tribal sentiments to derail the current move by young people to return Nigeria to the comity of developed and progressive countries.

“The forthcoming 2023 Presidential Elections clearly provide an opportunity for a national rebirth for social and economic security for all Nigerians.

“We remind every young Nigerian of voting age, to seize this moment and reject any plot to work for the same politicians who have milked Nigeria dry”

Speaking further, the group maintained that Nigerians especially the youths deserve a decent, honest and detribalized leadership for a more progressive country come 2023.

The group unequivocally condemned attitude of some Nigerian politicians who have greatly benefited from the country, but sent their kids to study overseas whereby Nigerian students are currently at home due to long protracted strike by University lecturers meanwhile invoking ethnic sentiment to help them win election at the detriment of ordinary Nigerians.

They therefore called on Nigerian Youths to take back Nigeria, now by actively participating in the country’s electoral process.
