The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has announced the inclusion of Islamic Affairs into his initial 8-point agenda offered to the electorates.

He announced the inclusion while addressing party supporters at a campaign rally held in Tangaza local government area of the state.

According to him, Sokoto being a Muslim dominated society needs to take issues relating to Islam with all seriousness.

“We’ll ensure that new mosques and islamiyya schools are built where they don’t exist” he added

The APC candidate assured people of the area that if elected, he will bring the much needed development to all the nooks and crannies of the State.

While in Gudu,the APC candidate pledged to complete the Balle-Karfen-Chana to Niger Republic road initiated by the immediate past administration.

He said apart from opening up the rural communities, the road will also boost economic activities especially among the citizens of Niger and Nigeria.

He expressed optimism that when completed, the road would improve border security in the area.

The APC candidate also promised to repair the dilapidated Tangaza-Balle road if emerged winner of the forthcoming election.

“This road plays a very crucial role to socio economic development of several communities as it links Balle town with other parts of the State and yet it’s in a very bad shape.” Aliyu added

He further assured people of the area of a befitting senior secondary school if elected governor of the state.

Also speaking, the chairman campaign council Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko assured communities of the two areas that the APC government will provide a purposeful leadership that will meet their yearning and aspirations.” He said

“APC will execute projects that will fast track development in this area” Wamakko added

He enjoined people of Gudu and Tangaza local governments to vote for APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu whom he described as highly experienced and patriotic with all the qualities to lead the country.

He recalled the sacrifice and contributions of the APC presidential candidate in the formation of APC, and called on people to come out en masse to vote for him in the interest of the nation.

Senator Wamakko also promised to continue with the electrification project he has started linking several communities with the national grid.

“I want to assure you that the project, though halted by the present administration, will continue soon insha Allah.” Wamakko added

The Director General APC governorship campaign council Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi reminded people of the two areas of the failure of PDP-led administration to provide any meaningful dividends of democracy to them

“There’s no any justification as to vote for a government that has failed to raise the living standard of its people” he added

The chairman, Sokoto State APC gubernatorial campaign publicity committee, Dr Nasiru Danladi Bako expressed confidence that the APC gubernatorial candidate in sokoto has the qualities and capacity to get the state out of its present situation of underdevelopment and backwardness.

“I have no doubt that our candidate having passed through the tutelage of Senator Wamakko will perform wonders if given the mandate” Bako added

He charged people in the state to continue to mobilize support for Ahmed Bola Tinubu ahead of the forthcoming election.

He also thanked people of the two areas for the warm reception accorded the campaign team, assuring them that APC will not let them down.
