The National Coordinator of Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Comrade Abdulhareem Adegoke Alawuje has cried out for non inclusion of his name in the campaign council of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Comrade Alawuje, however said DOJ is a self appointed group supporting the 2023 presidential ambition of Tinubu.
Speaking to Daily Sun to express his disappointment for not making the campaign list, Comrade Alawuje descended on the APC governors, accusing them of hijacking the campaign council for their relations and cronies.
He said he has been spending his resources since 2016 towards the realisation of Tinubu’s presidential ambition, adding that nobody had contributed a dime to the supporters group.
“Some of these our governors knew those who supposed to be on the campaign list, but to satisfy their families and friends they are trying to impose their people to claim the glories that others worked for.
“This is what myself really don’t understand, I still don’t want to believe that this is the campaign list coming out for Tinubu Campaign Council without my name, and if it is, that means a total injustice against us and other serious groups.
“Infact I know how much I have spent, I know how much I am still preparing to spend as I always tell Nigerians that Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ) is an independent body, and this alone scare away many individuals that supposed to be assisting us, because some of them can only come but when they realise that it will not be easy to hijack us they run away to form their own groups. And that is why it is widely known that Disciples of Jagaban worldwide gave birth to all other groups.

“My groups was formed in 2016 in Kaduna during the launching of some cars that Tinubu came to commission and we declared our vision and mission to support him for 2023.
“We were also in the same venue of Buhari inauguration at Eagle Square, Abuja to support him as at the time when there was no any group outside there.
“Apart from spending our personal resources we risk our lives during the Endsars. And also it was only Disciples of Jagaban during the Yoruba nation that confronted the political protesters and if there was any other groups that was bold enough to come out they should tell us their impact as at then.
“We risked all we have including the resources but fortunately it’s only those who were fully in support of Tinubu that could notice this, that is why I said the governors who are trying to hijack everything now will never reward hardworking.
“Anyway I have no one to complain to and I will never allow that to demoralise me, because in the first place, Tinubu did not send me to work for him. I am having my reason to do that, so who will I complain to? Who sent me?
“However, I am never and I will never be disappointed in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but as human being I will not be happy not seeing those who really deserved to be on the campaign list”. Embittered Alawuje said.
