North West zone of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has disclosed that it was still battling to reconcile aggrieved members during the primary election of the party in the zone.

Addressing a press conference on the progress made so far to reconcile aggrieved members in North West, the Vice President of the zone, Salihu Lukman however, said there were indicators that the party is waxing stronger ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He said some aggrieved members had returned to the party in the last few months and willing to work with the party in their various states.

“The party is still battling with some challenges of reconciliation, like in Kaduna, and the leadership of the party is working to ensuring that all the challenges are solved before the 2023 general elections”. He said.

The zonal Vice President who earlier had a closed door meeting with the chairmen of the zone, also disclosed that the states chairmen had briefed the zonal secretariat on the progress of the party in their various states.

“There are indicators showing that the party is doing very well in the zone, but, as we approach the 2023 general elections, it has become important to take note of these indicators and the challenges, and see how we can unite the party more than ever before.

” And to also adopt a method that will make the party more stronger in Zamfara, Katsina and other states in the zone. From the reports that we had received, our members are also ready to ensure that the party comes out victorious in the coming election. Lukman explained.

He informed that in few days to come, the party will inaugurate its northwest zone presidential campaign team.
