As Nigeria celebrates 21 years of unbroken civil rule, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr Amb.Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has caĺled  on President Muhamadu  Buhari led Federal Government to embark on aggressive development plan that would lead Nigeria into major economic  breakthrough.

In a statement made available to Daily Sun, the royal father lamented that after 60 years of independence, it was scandalous that Nigeria was yet to be self sufficient technologically. He said the situation even became embarrassing with the outbreak of COVID-19 when Nigeria has to import sanitisers, ventilators and drugs from China when this materials can be manufactured locally. He said  if  developemental policy was implemented to the letter Nigeria would have been like Dubai.

On the way foward, Eze Ohazurume call on the Federal Government  to look inward by investing on infrastructure. He lamented that it was disturbing to see the Lagos Badagry Road which connects Nigeria to other West African countries in ruin. He said if he had the opportunity  to meet president Muhamadu Buhari, he would ask him to immediatly solve the following problems like healthcare, good roads, industrialisation and agriculture.

While commending President Buhari for his proactive measure  by closing the border ahead of the COVID -19 outbreaks, he said that measure saved Nigeria from major food crisis.
He said all hands must be on deck to move the country to a greater heights.
