He listed the parties to include, APC, PDP, AC, LP, KOWA among others.
Abubakar noted that the only female candidate, Hafsat Umar, would be contesting under Accord Party.
He said the commission has trained no fewer than 1, 500 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as adhoc staff for the exercise.
“We have concluded a three-day training for about one thousand, six hundred corps members who are going to serve as our poll officials in this important assignment.
“We have also dispatched non-sensitive materials needed for the election while we await the sensitive ones like result sheets and ballot papers, to arrive on Thursday and we distribute as well, before final deployment to voting centres on Saturday morning,” he added.
The election, slated for Saturday, is to fill the seat which became vacant following the death of Honourable Abdullahi Muhammed, on July 14, 2017.
