The Italian government has deported about 40 Nigerians for the violation immigration laws and other and criminal offences in the country.
The deportation came barely four days after 23 Nigerians were deported from the United Kingdom (UK).
Those deported  from Italy were brought back into Nigeria in a chartered Air Meridiana aircraft with the registration number E1-FNU through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos at about 8:25pm.
It was learnt that 39  Nigerians were expelled for the breach of immigration laws  in Italy, while one of the Nigerians was deported for drug related crime.Am immigration source said that the returnee with drug related issues would be handed over to Nigerian Police for further prosecution while 39 others would be  profiled by the officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service attached to the airport and allowed to head to their destinations.
