• Seek partnership on health, agriculture

From Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, Abuja

Six governors from the six geo-political zones of the country are to embark on a  trip to Germany where they would take part in a vocational programme.
This is even as the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) opened discussions with the German government for partnership to boost agriculture and health sectors.
The decision was reached after a meeting with representative of the German government at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday night, where they received a presentation on different programmes.
Chairman of the Forum and governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, said the presentation was on a vocational programme which is of interest to the states.
“We received some presentation from the German Ambassador, prior to our trip to Germany, for the vacational programme.”
He said they were also briefed by officials of Vodacom. “They made a presentation on the area we are going to partner in including health and agriculture.
On impeachment threat by members of the State Assembly in his state, Yari noted that it was a mere misunderstanding.
“Even the Assembly said there was no such move and that there was a misunderstanding. But you know it is democracy, we are practicing and everyone can be hurt. We are peaceful,” he said
