The story of the “Prophet In His Town” is a seemingly striking biblical allusion that touches on few human traits inherently embedded in the nature of man. One of the things I think is true, which is a way of thinking about worth and values is that, that which is uncommon among all is often at times regarded as common. In the case of Jesus of Nazareth, though He performed greater signs than no other, worked several miracles and wonders but was gravely despised by his own people and brother. The Israelite could barely fathom that, the One , whom they knew his father-Joseph and Mother- Mary the daughter of Saint Anne; the Little Child Jesus, who they watched grow alongside other children would become the Messiah. To the Jews, this of course passes off both as a surprise and as a puzzle. But then, this is in some sense, a demonstrable manifestation of some life’s matrix that unites a man and his destiny.

In the light of the above expression, it would be easier for us who stand at the far end of the scene, to hastily drag the Jews to our “court of wishful judgement”, thereby blaming the the Jews, who have refused to accept Christ Jesus as God and Saviour of the mankind . Forgetting that the log in our own eyes is much regrettable.

In this piece, as an Udenu man I feel rather compelled to dwell on the person of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi-not just as the number one citizen of our dear state, but most importantly as an Udenu man. I intend to follow on the heels of other kindhearted sons and daughters of the state in assessing and celebrating the timeless achievements of his Excellency in his home. However, the space here is not to sing praise or to attack the political enemies of our Governor. What is my interest is to take us on a fair and balanced appraisal , on what may amount as a popular opinion, on what the name of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi depicts in Udenu of today.

This has become imperative as it will stand to evaluate the grassroot capacity of Governor Ugwuanyi in correlation to Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani of Agbani and Sullivan Chime nwa Udi saga, which has become barely a molding case study for successive Governors.

Picking a strand of thought from the above,it makes sense to argue that even the most careless political observers are inclined to agree, especially in view of his giant developmental strides across the length and breadth of the state that Udenu in particular has made real progress which are glaring enough reaffirm our trust and confidence in him. With this in mind, one would proudly say that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a Godsent-or better put, he is a Prophet highly regarded among his people !

He has carved a niche for himself and written his name in the sand of time through a unique style of leadership. To this end,it’s our wish that you keep up with the good work , while assuring you of our unflinching support.Ride on Gburu Gburu Udenu, we are solidly behind you!
