The political and judicial wars between Dr Uche Ogah and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu over the soul of Government House, Umuahia, Abia State have been taken to the spiritual plain.
Report said as pastors from a pentecostal church recently gathered in the commercial city of Aba to pray for the embattled Governor Ikpeazu not to lose his seat, there was a replay of the supplication by pastors drawn from the 17 local government areas in Umuahia, yesterday, who constituted themselves into prayer warriors to pray the heaven open for Dr Ogah to have victory at the Appeal Court.
The pastors who numbered over 1,500 were said to have gathered at Jesus Disciple Assembly Church, Umuahia to pray for the victory of Ogah at the appellate court.
Our source said the over five-hour prayer session under the aegis of Abia Ministers Prayer Network was a non-denominational, which witnessed the presence of pastors and bishops from both orthodox and pentecostal churches across the state.
In his sermon, the General Overseer of Jesus Disciple Assembly, Bishop Prosper Obaro called on Nigerians to always pray for their leaders, adding that the present economic hardship being faced by Nigerians needed God’s intervention.
He admonished people to be prayerful, and to seek God’s face at all times.
The Bishop described Ogah as a product of the help of God, saying that with God all things are possible in every human endeavor.
He called on Abians to fervent prayers at this trying period in the history of the state.
Speaking shortly after the prayer session, spokesman of the prayer network, Apostle Praise Odinaku and General Overseer of Power Word Assembly said men of God across the state gathered for the prayer session with the aim of committing Ogah’s victory to the hands of God.
Another pastors said their desire was to see Ogah govern the state, saying they firmly believe that with Dr Ogah, Abia would be taken to a greater height.
