Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has expressed shock at the death of the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Funminiyi Afuye, who died Wednesday last week.
In his tribute to the late Ekiti Speaker, Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, said it was painful that death snatched such a fine patriot at this crucial time of the nation’s journey towards her growth and development, stating that the late Speaker was a peaceful and affable personality who contributed in no small measure to the peace and progress of Ekiti State.
The Abia Speaker while condoling with the family of the late Funminiyi Afuye described his death as a huge loss to not only Ekiti State but also the legislature and Nigeria in general.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed Speaker, Orji urged the family, people and government of Ekiti State to take solace in God who alone knows why he allowed the death at this time and urged them to keep his legacies alive.
