Nigeria’s continental representatives in the Africa Champions Cups for Women, First Bank Basketball Club last night escaped defeat as defeated FAP of Cameroun 69-66 to move into the semi-finals stage.

With wide margin wins in their previous games, FAB of Cameroon proved a stubborn side despite finishing fourth place in Group A as they gave the Elephant Girls a run for their money.

The Nigerians found it difficult to play their game leaving the initiative to the Cameroonians, who used fast breaks to demystify the First Bank, who are well known for their defensive play.
