Adefarati, Adegboyega, and the younger brother of late Governor

Olusegun Agagu, Femi, were among the list of commissioner-nominees,

presented to the state House of Assembly, on Tuesday, by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for approval.

Others included a media consultant, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, Hon. Taofiq

Abdulsalam, Rasheed Badmus, Prince Solagbade Amodeni, Saka Yusuf

Ogunleye and Mrs. Omowumi Olatunji-Edet.

Also in the list were Ojogo Donald, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro, Funso Esan,

Wale Akinterinwa, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Alhaji Olurimisi Ismaila,

Prof. Bayonle Ademodi, Lola Fagbemi, Otunba Timilehin Adelegbe and

Kola Olawoye.

According to a statement by Chief Press Secretary to Governor Akeredolu, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, the list of the nominees was presented

to the Speaker of the House of Assembly by Governor Akeredolu.

The statement added that the action of the Governor was in accordance

with section 192 of the 1999 constitution (as amended).

It was gathered that the House of Assembly would invite the 18

commissioner-nominees to appear before it from next week.

Akeredolu, who assumed office as Governor in February, 2017 had

made many appointments including Special Advisers and Senior Special

Assistants.

He had also appointed chairmen and members of boards of various

parastatals in the state.
