Ayebusiwa, who disclosed that he represents a constituency that is disadvantaged in terms of social amenities, said he has a responsibility to draw the government’s attention to the plight of his people.

He said: “As a representative of one of the most politically virile but least developed constituencies in Ondo State, I am bearing an unusual burden. Apart from the general and protracted problem of electricity, which, as at today, is the biggest challenge for the southern senatorial district, I come from a constituency that is particularly disadvantaged in terms of the availability of basic social amenities; and I have come to draw government’s attention to the plight of my people, to give volume to their voices.

“In doing this, we plan to make critical legislative interventions for the betterment of our constituency and to lobby, where we should, for government’s support to attend to pressing socioeconomic needs of our people so that things can reasonably improve for the constituents. We will effectively involve all constituent political wards in the constituency in my dealings in office and strive to be fair to all.”

Chris however promised to join hands with colleagues in giving necessary support to the Akeredolu-led government.

“Our support shall be unflinching for the Akeredolu-led administration in the ultimate interest of the state and we shall continue to deepen efforts to ensure that our party retains popularity and acceptability with the people,” he said.
