Ahead of the November, 2017 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has inaugurated its election committee to work out modalities on how to conduct the primaries and address other issues affecting the polls.

National chairman of the party, Alhaji Yabagi Sani who named a former senator from Edo State, Roland Owie as chairman of the committee, gave them a marching order to ensure that the party wins the election.

On his part, Owie said his committee would deliver the state to his party, despite its lack of structure ahead of the gubernatorial poll.

“The courage and doggedness that American colonies had to fight Britain, is the spirit ADP and our members in Anambra will have to develop to win the election.

“Anambra has produced great Nigerians, but the state has been subjected to ridicule by a few illiterates who see politics as cash for carry business to the extent that a sitting governor was kidnapped. That was the foundation laying ceremony of kidnapping in Nigeria under a PDP government and up to this day, nobody has been punished for that heinous crime. The real shame of the matter is that, the party and their collaborators are still going about wanting to rule Anambra,” Owie said.
