The Nigeria Football Federation have handed Super Eagles’ manager Gernot Rohr a two-week ultimatum to submit his programme for the 2019 African Cup of Nations championship in Cameroon.
Raising from its executive committee meeting in Asaba on Tuesday, the body resolved that preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations must start immediately, with Rohr mandated to submit a programme of preparation within a couple of weeks.
The committee also assured that all the available windows for friendly matches before the championship would be fully utilized.
Meanwhile, Rohr is expected to announce the country’s provisional roster for the championship in April 2019.
The former champions is staging a return after missing the last two editions of the tournament in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
In a related development, the Board expressed delight with the efforts that went into the negotiations for a new, improved contract with kit sponsors, NIKE.
Members applauded the terms of the new contract which specified that NIKE would supply more kits to the Nigeria National Teams every year, just as the contract now captures the Women National Teams.
