Adorable Foundation International (AFI) and affiliation of the Adorable Social Club of Nigeria (ASCON) has recognized the contribution of some individuals in the service to humanity as it celebrates its 11 years anniversary.
The philanthropic organization is notable for their persistent unwavering operations in curbing the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Nigeria. Founded in 2011 by Dr. Princess Ada Okeke, the foundation is committed to becoming the foremost philanthropic organization that seek to deliver better livelihood, empowerment and assistance to the less privilege, drug addict and vulnerable of all age, class and tribe.
The ceremony which took place in Lagos over the weekend, was graced by dignitaries, humanitarians and well-meaning Nigerians who have devoted their time and resources in realization of a society free of drug abuse. It featured the recognition and awarding of deserving Nigerians who have put their time and resources to the cause and mission of the organization. Some of the awardees include the Deputy Woman Leader Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos; Rosemary Nkem, Ugoeze Angel Obi, Jude Ringo Okeke and others.
The organization have over the years carried out several campaigns and awareness programs aimed at sensitizing the public on the dangers of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in a bid to curb such practice and dissuade those who engage in it. It has also engage in charitable movements where it has donated items to the indigents in the society.
