Lagosians had a fashion blast recently during two days of iconic fashion shows held at the National Arts Theatre and Tinubu Square. The fashion show was primarily to showcase iconic centres in Lagos State and to promote tourism in the state through fashion.
The event, the first of its kind was organized by Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) in collaboration with Lagos State government as a preamble to the main show slated for May.
The main highlight of the show was the re-launch of ABC WAX by DaViva as ace designer, Zizi Cardow showcased an impressive design to underscore the beauty of the fabric. Steven Dutton, Group Marketing Director, DaViva  highlighted the uniqueness of the fabric, adding that “It could be used in fashionable ways as well as to build the brand through relationships with budding fashion designers.  This is one of the reasons why the company sponsors AFWN, because we believe the future is about fashion.”
The organizer of the show, Ronke Ademiluyi said the event is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty and versatility of African fashion while showing the world a glimpse of Nigeria’s rich sites, heritage and culture.
