The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, Abutu Yaro, has promised to beef up security across the zone in forthcoming elections.

Yaro, at a meeting with police heads of operation in the zone, charged officers on the need for the zone to be safe during the forthcoming presidential election.

He described the two states under the zone, Anambra and Enugu as crime-infested states, hence the need for the personnel to step up their plans to ensure the safety of the members of the public ahead of the day of the election.
