A community leader in Oshodi Local Government Area of Lagos State, Alhaji Biliameen Akinola, has called on residents of Oshodi to sustain the existing peace and continue to work towards the development and growth of the community.
He made the call during his decoration as recipient of the Islamic Merit Award of the year at Almashkuur International Society annual Maolud Nabiyyi.
He also advised Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad for the sake of peace and progress of the nation and to imbibe tolerance as directed by the prophet.
He hailed the prominent role played by the head of Arota-Ologun family in the community, Chief Teslim Adeola Almaroof in maintaining the relative peace enjoyed in the community, while he prayed that God continues to grant him good health to lead the family and community at large.
