Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has approved the constitution of the official Government Delegation for the 2017 Hajj.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued in Lafia on Tuesday.
Mohammed said the Speaker of the state Assembly, Alhaji Balarebe Abdullahi, is the leader of the delegation while the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Suleiman Dikko, and the Commissioner of Justice, Malam Yusuf Shehu would serve as members.
He said other members of the delegation include: Malam Mohammed Umar, Chairman, Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board; Alhaji Abubakar Na-Laraba, the Secretary of the Board, and Alhaji Ahmadu Al-Makura, Sarkin Kwandere.
The SSG also announced the appointment of Malam Stanley Buba as the Senior Special Assistant( Development Control )to the Governor with immediate effect.
He said Buba had served the state in various capacities “and was at a time the Executive Chairman of Akwanga Local Government.” (NAN)
