The 2022 National Grand Patron Unity Cup Unity Cup organised by Ndigboamaka Progressive Market Associations, will not be disrupted despite the lingering crisis at the Alaba International Market, Lagos.

This was disclosed by the body Secretary General, Comrade Chinedu Ukatu during match day two duel which involved Building Materials Dealers Association and Refrigeration Dealers Association at the Abati Barracks on Saturday.

Speaking to SaturdaySun Sports, the Ukatu revealed that the dispute which rocked Alaba International Market during the week will have no negative impact on the tourney. He however stated all hands are on deck to resolve the clash caused by alleged thugs’ extortion on members.

“I can confirm to you this won’t affect the competition. We are here in Lagos for peace and Unity and our members are currently happy seeing each other embracing the spirit of sportsmanship.

“Although the crisis which rock our members at Alaba is not a good one but I’m confident all will be settle in duo time. The boys and happy and more are even willing tom participate in next edition.”
