Algeria has called up 18 foreign pros, including Leicester City stars, Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani, as well as Sofiane Feghouli of West Ham for a World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
Others are Yacine Brahimi from FC Porto, Nabil Bentaleb of Schalke 04, as well as uncapped Bordeaux midfielder, Adam Ounas, who has changed his international allegiance to Algeria after he featured for France at age-grade level.
New coach Georges Leekens named the squad Tuesday morning with a provision to include five players from the domestic league after the country’s Super Cup.
The World Cup showdown is slated for Saturday, November 12, in Uyo.
