Professor Bashir Ladan Aliero has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the  University of Science and Technology, Aliero, Kebbi State.

The Chief Information Officer of the university, Mallam Hussaini Adamu Zuru, in a statement made available to Daily Sun, on Tuesday, confirmed that his appointment take effects from Monday, September 11, 2017.
According to the statement,” Chairman of the University Governing  Council, Maj.-Gen. Muhammed Magoro (rtd.),  convened the approval of the appointment of the new Vice-Chancellor by the Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.”
The statement  stated that the new Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Ladan Aliero, who assumed duty, on Monday, took over from the former acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bello Shehu Mallami and would spend five years as the Vice Chancellor of the university.

It added that Governor Bagudu and Chairman of the Governing Council congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor and wishing him successful tenure.
