Recently,  former Nigeria envoy to Ghana, Amb Ejike Simon Eze (jnr) paid  courtesy visit  to Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu  in his Obi Eziokwu palace.

The  envoy was received  by the Umuduruoha Amaigbo Nwangele Imo state-born Royal father  as both Igbo illustrious sons exchange ideas on welfare of Ndigbo vis-a-vis their trade and investment in Ghana.

In his remarks, HRM Dr. Ihenetu who is also the Assistant Publicity Secretary Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora,  described Amb. Ejike as a kind- hearted envoy who devoted  his time to serve Nigerians while in Ghana.

“Amb. Ejike, is a quintessential  diplomat with specialty in intelligence/security deposit diplomatic protocol, spanning over three decades with remarkable track record of excellence in community service, philanthropy and youth mentorship.

“During the trade dispute between  Nigerian Traders and Ghana Trade Union, Amb Ejike played a pivotal role as intermediary  between Nigerians and their host nation, Ghana.

He could be described  as saviour of Ndigbo because he helped protect  their interest  and that of other Nigerians while he served  here in Ghana as Minister in Nigeria High Commission, Ghana.

In his response, Amb. Ejike  thanked the Royal father, for his exemplary leadership qualities which resulted in peaceful coexistence of Ndigbo and their host country, Ghana.  “Ndigbo gave me their maximum  support while I was here,  adding that even after my departure, they have continued to be law abiding.

“I thus call  on Ghanian government  to tamper justice with mercy  by continuing  to create good atmosphere  for Ndigbo in Ghana to do their business  without any hindrances.

“Ndigbo see Ghana as their home and that is why they invests in real estate and also helps in boosting the economy of Ghana.

In his response, HRM Dr. Ihenetu  while welcoming  him to his Obi Eziokwu palace,  commended him for his genuine interest of Ndigbo and for defending their interest  when he was in Ghana.

” Because of these sterling qualities, I hereby urge you to reach out for more responsibilities by running for the senate. Our country at this point in time needs a zealous personality like you at the center to serve as voice of the downtrodden.” If you become a distinguish senator, your experience will surely count for good.”

While commending  the current Nigeria  Ambassador to Ghana and Nigeria High Commission, Ghana for their good jobs, the royal father said Ndigbo will be happy if in the nearest future, Amb. Ejike one day return to Ghana to continue his good works as ambassador.
