Lagos State Governor, Akinnwumi Ambode, will tomorrow host this year’s Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Lagos leadership lecture, with C&F Porter Novelli boss, Nn’emeka Maduegbuna, as chairman of the event.

With the theme: “Boosting competitiveness and inclusive growth through communication,” the lecture, billed for the MUSON Centre, Lagos, is part of activities marking Lagos Public Relations Week, an annual week-long experiential platform, organised by the state chapter of NIPR, for public relations, communications professionals and stakeholders.

NIPR Lagos State chapter Chairman, Olusegun McMedal, said Maduegbuna is a renowned public relations and public affairs professional, with extensive experience in directing communications for Nigeria’s largest public and private sector companies as well as international investors seeking market entry.

“We could not have chosen a better person to chair the lecture,” he said.

The lecture will feature Founder/Chairman of Phillips Consulting Group, Foluso Phillips, while the panel of discussants include Chief Executive Officer, Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation, Osayi Alile; General Manager, External Affairs and Communications, Seplat Petroleum Development Company, Chioma Nwachukwu; Regional Director and Managing Director Nigeria, Africa Practice R&B, Tim Newbold and Chief Consultant and Lead Strategist, TPT International, Tokunbo Modupe.
