Speaking yesterday on the outing in Morocco, Nnaji said it was good that Nigeria featured in the maiden edition of the AMU championship and returned home with a medal.

“We went to Morocco with only one athlete and he won a bronze. Some other countries came with a large contingent but left Morocco without a medal. This shows that Nigeria will go places in the sport if given the needed support. I’m also happy with the special award given to me and the president of the Nigeria Muaythai Federation, Samuel Nweke by the African body. The award will motivate us to do more for the sport in Nigeria,” Nnaji said.
