The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) otherwise known as Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), at the weekend, berated the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, for vowing to stop Anambra State governorship election, slated for November 18 this year.

It said that Kanu has no justification whatsoever to issue such a threat, insisting that such a decision was outside the scope, ideology and action plan behind the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra.

Similarly, the group has also dismissed the efforts being made by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led federal government to quell the agitation for the realisation of Biafra Republic, as futile.

Addressing newsmen during the group’s meeting in Abakaliki, the leader of MASSOB (BIM), Mr. Nwifuru John, who assured that the non-violent struggle for Biafra would be achieved against all odds, said all conditions had been met for the emergence of Biafra as a country in Nigeria.
