A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State and a youth advocate,  Mr. Nwabueze Onwuneme has appealed to those who lost out in the party’s governorship  primaries in Anambra State to accept it as God’s will and rally support for Tony Nwoye .

He said the support for Nwoye was necessary for the  sake of the party’s victory in the forth coming polls, stating that in every contest only one person would emerge as the winner.

Onwuneme in a chat with newsmen in his Umuahia home stated that the Anambra guber election was very important to the APC in its quest to fully make inroads into the south-east zone stating that all hands must be on deck to realise it.

He called on all and sundry that love the party most especially those who contested with Nwoye to look beyond their personal ambitions, to make sure that the party wins so that  the good people of Anambra would enjoy the good tidings of change brought about by President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC.

Onwuneme, further appealed to Senator Andy Uba to eschew any form of bitterness or anger and give Nwoye whom has reached out to him the way a younger brother should,  the needed support and backing an elder would give to a younger brother.

He also expressed faith and confidence in the Hassan Lawal led appeal committee  and charged it not to be hoodwinked into cancelling a widely adjudged free, fair  and transparent  primaries devoid of the usual presidential preference of any candidate.

Meanwhile, Concerned Anambra Youths, a youth group affiliated with the  APC,  has said   Nwoye was  desperate.

In a statement by the group’s president, Nonso Ojukwu, the group urged Nwoye to be patient and allow the National Working Committee ( NWC) of the party make a final decision based on the report of the appeal committee.

“We have noted the desperate efforts to drag the good names of influential people like Senator Jim Nwobodo and Prince Donatus Okonkwo into his project of greed. We forbid ourselves to reduce the towering personalities of these great men to the level of Nwoye’s misadventures.

“Initially, it was conceived to intimidate and blackmail members of the APC Appeal Committee. Now, that the committee has submitted its report, Nwoye’s latest gimmick is to conjure every manner of falsehood against members of APC’s National Working Committee, in the attempt to blackmail and manipulate them.

“We enjoin all APC members in Anambra State to remain calm and hold no anger against any of the personalities touted by Nwoye’s group in their sponsored publications. We assure everyone that we are now in APC and in this great party, things are done differently. It is highly demeaning to malign the integrity of respectable men and women, just in the pursuit of vaulting ambitions” Ojukwu said.
