With the recent submission of Governorship form by leading governorship aspirant, Dr. Godwin Maduka at the People’s Democratic Party headquarters in Abuja, it has become imminent that his visionary mandates may lead him through victory at the forthcoming governorship elections in Anambra State holding on Nov. 26 in the state.
According to sources in the state, supporters crowded the PDP secretariat chanting their undying support for the next governor a an atmosphere that has never been witnessed before. The supporters are of the opinion that Dr. Godwin Maduka has the capacity, exposure and most receptive mandates to takeover Anambra state with the extensive political structure of PDP in the state if given the ticket.
Dr. Maduka has assured the people of Anambra state of advanced developments in education, job opportunities through integrated exploration of technology, improved welfarism for public service workers and amongst other prospective strategies to ensure that the state becomes better and greater.
In a review on his profile, especially as a grassroot mobilzer, philanthropist and particularly a triple Professor of Medicine, he has made several outstanding feats, which includes building of schools, religions centers, medical center, establishment of a foundation which initiatied incessant support for widows, developmental programmes for youths and other initiatives for entrepreneurs in the state.
However, the people of Anambra state have made a resolve with several decisions being taken by a myriad of socio-political groups that it’s time for the People’s Democratic Party to takeover leadership for sustainable development and responsive governance in the state.
“It is time for the people of Anambra state to weigh their options, whether their lives have improved in the previous years, whether the economy has improved, whether security has improved, whether health system has improved and whether the educational system has improved.
“But If there is no improvement, the obvious yearning of the electorates would be to have a good government under the capability of a party like PDP in place with Dr. Godwin Maduka as the flag bearer,” a concerned citizen of the state stated.
