The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Expression of Interest form / Nomination form for the Anambra State governorship election has been pegged at N6million.
The party’s National Organising Secretary, Senator Abdul Ningi confirmed to Daily Sun yesterday that the expression of interest form would cost one million naira( N1m) while the nomination form will go for five million naira.
It was earlier speculated that the party’s form for the November 18 Anambra governorship election would cost N11million, same price it was sold during the last Ondo State governorship election.
However, it was not certain as at press time if any of the aspirants in the Anambra governorship election has obtained the nomination form, one week after the sale commenced.
It would be recalled that a timetable for the Anambra PDP governorship primary issued by Ningi indicated that the sale and return of Expression of Interest / Nomination Form will last from July 24 – August, 7.
According to the timetable, the screening of aspirants would hold on August 9-10, while ward congress for the election of three ad-hoc delegates and governorship primaries would hold on August 16 and 19 respectively.
