Ahead of the Senatorial elections in Anambra State ,Enugu indigenes resident in Anambra North Senatorial District have thrown their weight behind Stella Oduah , candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) pledging to support her and the party in the forthcoming February 25th elections.

Speaking during the endorsement ceremony held on Sunday at Sharon hall Onitsha, Chairman of Enugu state indigenes Chief Paul Nebo stated that the support stemmed from the track records the Senator had garnered for herself, adding that Oduah has performed beyond par and has touched a lot of lives positively, reaching all nooks and cranny of Anambra North.

Nebo eulogised Stella for attracting developments and inclusiveness granted to non-indigenes;

“As the Enugus, some of us have lived here for over 50 years and we can no longer see or address ourselves as non-indigenes, in a nutshell, we are indigenes of Anambra because we vote, build our houses, marry, and do our businesses here.
“Your empowerment beneficiaries cuts across everyone regardless of tribe or religion which is the hallmark of leadership, your ability to attract basic infrastructures and sponsorship of pro people bills is highly commendable.

Speaking at the jam packed venue ,Nebo branded Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations , Stella as the best among other candidates vowing to mobilise his people and others to vote for Senator Stella on election day.

Responding, Director General of Stella Oduah campaign Organisation Rt Hon Eucharia Azodo who spoke on behalf of the Senate rendered gratitude to the community for the show of love and support towards the Senator’s re-election bid.
Azodo the Former Anambra state house of Assembly speaker, emphasised the need for all to rally round a performing Senator like Stella Oduah. She rolled out Oduah’s achievements as serving Lawmaker and former Minister of Aviation which according to Azodo was beneficial to Enugu People and South East in general.

She also spoke of the Lawmaker’s famous bill on the establishment of the Southeast development commission, which has been passed and waiting for the president’s assent. Azodo explained that the Commission will engineer tremendous development in the southeast, according to her the bill demonstrates Stella’s willingness to provide an all inclusive leadership to both her constituents and Southeast.

In a related development, Senator Stella has doled out vehicles to over seventy youths and women to Aid them engage in transportation businesses as a means of raising their economic livelihood. Some of the vehicles which include motorcycle, tricycle ( Keke), Shuttle buses etc were given to deserving beneficiaries living in Anambra North.

A beneficiary Mr. Chike Onuorah lauded Stella for the gesture; “Her focus is on the accelerated and sustainable human capital development and development of Anambra North in general. Her leadership in the Senate has focused on putting Programmes and projects that have not only helped to better and reposition Anambra North but also has lifted the people of the zone from hardship and poverty to prosperity.

“We’ve seen her change the narratives in many ways with her dogged fight in pushing out bills that cover every sector: economy, education, religion etc. The truth remains that Senator Princess Stella has delivered creditably well in line with her campaign promises to the people of Anambra North senatorial district as her achievements are highly remarkable.
