Governor Soludo is determined to take Anambra back from the grip of heartless criminals that want to make Anambra ungovernable for him. I also thank God that our governor has a listening ear because it made him be adhering to advise. I will not fail to also thank the Commissioner for Homeland affairs, Hon Chikaodili Anara for his determination that we all working with him must put in our best in the service of our state to help the governor actualise his dream of making Anambra a crime-free state. I thank all the heads of security agencies in Anambra State for their commendable efforts and contributions. We all worked together to achieve the success being enjoyed today in the security sector. I thank God for His grace and also thank God for giving ndi Anambra a Governor like Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo. One fact that is undeniable is that Anambra is a difficult state to govern because we have many bigwigs from the state.

So seeing the success recorded in the security sector is a sign of unity. I pray for the sustainability of success. Our people should continue doing one simple thing and that is giving out information that will help security agents to do their job and actualise their mandate of turning Anambra into a crime-free state. If you see something, say something because if you keep quiet, know it that you can fall victim tomorrow. Another message we are preaching is the message of knowing your neighbour because by doing that, our state will be safe for all of us and for investors that will invest in our state.

Public opinion says that Governor Soludo has shown special interest in developing Onitsha and just recently, the governor brought international development partners to the city. What is your take on this development?

It is s a wonderful and commendable initiative. I thank God for making our governor see Onitsha and its environs as communities that are in dire need of development. Onitsha is unarguably the gateway to the South East. Lawlessness is the biggest problem facing Onitsha but it’s a good thing that Governor Soludo started by tackling lawlessness in the state in a commendable bid to reclaim the lost glory of Onitsha. Am among those saying that the glory of Onitsha is gone and God answered our prayer by giving us a governor that has a special interest in Onitsha. As of today in Anambra, Governor Soludo has spoilt business for touts in Onitsha and all parts of the state. Governor Soludo came to conquer evil people in Anambra and he is doing that. He has the burning desire to fix Anambra and my happiness as one of his ardent supporters is that he is achieving positive results. I commend the governor for his efforts to restore Onitsha’s master plan.

What is your reaction to the governor plan to decongest Onitsha markets and other markets in the state?

Don’t forget that am SSA to the governor on security attached to the office of the Commissioner for Homeland Affairs. Our ministry will make sure that the governor actualises his target of decongesting Onitsha markets and other markets in Anambra. Governor Soludo’s plan to decongest our markets is a good development and we will make it a done deal because charity begins at home. Our governor wants to enthrone sanity and orderliness in our state. So we are duty bound to help him to do that for the betterment of our state. If our markets are decongested, it will also help to eradicate criminality because it will put an end to picking pockets crime and other crimes being committed by criminals in our markets. It will also help in the free flow of goods, and human and vehicular movements in the markets. For me, that idea is good and commendable.

The governor has plans to execute 220km road projects in his first year in office. The government said arrangements have been concluded to commence the flag-off of the road projects immediately after the rainy season. How would you react to the governor’s plan?

That was what the governor promised ndi Anambra during the electioneering campaign that he will do. So it is good that he is fulfilling his promise. His plan to flag off massive construction of road projects in Anambra is a good omen to ndi Anambra. Governor Soludo is interested in doing things that will have a direct impact on the lives of ndi Anambra. If you look at his plan for Okpoko, you will agree with me that he wants to turn Okpoko into the small London of Anambra State. It’s good to see that Governor Soludo is living up to the expectation of Anambra electorates that voted massively for him in the last governorship election.
