•Asks Buhari to call him to order

From Geoffrey Anyanwu, Awka

Bishop of Enugu Anglican Diocese, Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has accused Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha of wastful spending of state fund.
Chukwuma made the call yesterday, during a press conference organised by the Enugu Anglican Diocesan Media Team, Enugu.
The bishop expressed the opinion that the people of the South East were no longer comfortable with Okorocha’s alleged mismanagement of state tax payers’ money and the maltreatment of workers and pensioners.
He urged President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to caution Rocha in this regard.
The bishop also frowned at the manner the Chief Executive of Innoson Group, Chief Innoson Chukwuma was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
While calling for his immediate release, he stressed that Innoson was not a criminal and should not be treated as one.
He commended President Buhari for changing his mind to show concern about the South East and urged him to do more by ensuring that the Second Niger Bridge project was realised as well as intensify work on the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, Enugu -Port Harcourt Expressway and other federal roads.
The Anglican bishop charged politicians to ensure that they fulfil their campaign promises before the next electioneering year and urged electorate to take note and be sincere in the choice of their candidates.
“We in the South East are thanking God that the president is getting concerned about us, he should intensify efforts to let us know that he is the President of Nigeria.
‘‘However, we are not happy that when he came to the South East, he did not visit any traditional ruler, but when he visited Kano the other day, he visited the Emir of Kano, we feel that it is not fair, we feel bad about it.
Speaking on the budget he said: “Our politicians should be sincere particularly concerning the passage of the budget. It is absolutely wrong for us to talk about passing 2018 budget when we have not seen the performance of the 2017 budget. I think the executive in the highest order must know that we want to know the percentage of the performance of the 2017 budget before they talk about passing the 2018 budget? You cannot lob side it, it is not acceptable’’ he said. .
“I support the Senate for the way they are taking it step by step to approve the budget. Budget for 2018 must not be rushed for approval, there must be serious investigation of the performance of the 2017 budget.

and how much that has been released for 20lbefore we talk of 2018.
