The remains of a late business mogul, Mrs Oleremi Akintunde- Tiyamiyu will on August 7 be laid to rest at Iperu in Ikene Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Late Mrs Akintunde-Tiyamiyu who was the mother of property merchant and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Mr Tope Akintunde died at the age of 65.

The son of the deceased, Mr Tope Akintunde in a statement issued said the funeral of the reputable trader and notable politician will begin on Thursday, August 6 with service of songs and wake keep at her residence, Ogere-Abeokuta road, Iperu Remo by 5pm while the commendation and funeral service hold on Friday, August 7 at the Methodist Church, Iperu Remo by 10am

According to the statement, all government protocols guiding COVID-19 will be strictly followed at the burial ceremony.

He said the deceased lived a selfless life and would be remembered for her generosity and philanthropy.

Akintunde said “she was a caring, loving and accommodating mother to many residents of Ogun State particularly in Iperu where she lived. She was equally a devout Christian of Methodist Church extraction and a disciplinarian of the highest order. I will definitely miss her but I am comforted that she played her part well when she was with us here”.
