FORMER Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government for allegedly throwing Nigeria into confusion.
Lamido said there would be no mistake if one describes the pattern of APC leadership, both at federal and state levels as having failed to define what governance is all about.
“The party and its government, at all levels, are confused and, consequently, confusing the nation by its incredible ignorance of leadership and what it entails.”
Lamido said this when he spoke at a caucus meeting of the Jigawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, held at his country home in Bamaina town, at the weekend.
He also said Governor Badaru Abubakar has no moral ground to call members of the past administration ‘thieves’ when he openly told the world that he had “concluded arrangements to arraign thieves who stole over N8 billion from my administration.”
“The same Badaru, who was a beneficiary of former governor Saminu Turaki’s administration, when he imported vehicles and failed to execute the contract for the Independent Power Project (IPP), which never saw the light of the day, is, today, calling people thieves.”
Lamido expressed displeasure over how Jigawa is suffering from what he described “un-purposeful leadership like other states under APC control.”
“Today, what we are witnessing in Jigawa is manifestation of clueless leadership with relentless bragging, with no any meaningful developmental project that can improve the common man’s life.”
