Bamigbola Gbolagunte, Akure

National Chairman of the Door-to-Door Campaign group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign, Bola Ilori, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s order, enforcing security operatives to deal ruthlessly with ballot box snatchers during the re-scheduled elections, is to guide against manipulations during the polls.

He said the president’s pronouncement will checkmate the perpetration of killings and maiming during elections and prevent electoral manipulations, which, he said, has become a recurring decimal in Nigeria’s elections.

Ilori, who spoke in Akure, the Ondo State capital, while leading Ondo APC field operation canvassers to different parts of the state, in furtherance of the door-to-door, and market-to-market mobilisation strategy of the Field Operations Directorate of the Presidential Campaign Council, said the APC is prepared for a free and fair election tomorrow.

The APC leader, who was the former commissioner for Regional Integration in Osun State, said the achievements of the Buhari-led administration cut across various sectors of the nation’s economy, hence the belief that he will be re-elected.
