The All Progressives Congress (APC) Professional Women Council (PWC) has inaugurated the first Diaspora chapter of the Council in United Kingdom. The Diaspora chapter of PWC was launched recently with the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and also National Director Women Affairs APC PWC, Hon. Ronke Soyombo in attendance.

In her remarks, Soyombo urged all members of the newly constituted council to be committed to party ideology, saying it is the duty and responsibility of all the members of APC Professional Women Council in the Diaspora to engage in party politics and be part of the political process back home.

She assured members that the incoming president of the APC under Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to engage 35 percentage of United Nation women participation in his administration.

Director General APC PC, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, in his remarks also applauded the new council, stating that he was elated that the council was inaugurated at the right time. He also promised to support the council in all capacity to ensure the success of the party in the coming elections.

Hon. Soyombo later announced the appointment of two officers, namely: Hon. Rachael Ebunoluwa Oke, as national zonal UK Coordinator and Hon. Omowunmi Olunloyo as general secretary.
